Kojic acid dipalmitate (KAD) is a white,crystalline powder that is a derivative of kojic acid. It is a non-toxic,mild acid with anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-agingproperties. KAD is used in cosmetics and personal care products as a skinwhitening agent and for other benefits: KAD prevents melanin formation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity, andcan be up to 80% effective. It can also soften cuticles and help withanti-sun protection.
