Product Description

CCS is used in immediate-release oral solid dosage forms, such astablets, to help break them down in the intestinal tract after oraladministration. It's hydrophilic and insoluble, with excellent swellingproperties and water wicking capabilities. When exposed to water, CCSpromotes rapid disintegration of tablets by relying on capillary and swellingeffects. The concentration of CCS in tablet formulations is typically0.5 5.0% w/w, but increasing the concentration may cause a viscous gel layer toform that can hinder disintegration.
